Microrealism brings the precision and depth of photography into a compact tattoo format. Animals, portraits, sculptures, objects, plants and architectural details are recreated through realistic proportions, refined textures and carefully controlled contrast. Despite the smaller scale, every composition retains the defining character of its subject. Light, shadow and fine tonal transitions create volume and depth, giving the tattoo the appearance of a miniature photograph on the skin.

Small Scale, Precise Detail
In Microrealism, a small format does not mean a simplified image.
The expression of an eye, the texture of fur, reflections on metal or glass, and subtle differences between light and shadow can become essential elements of the design. Each detail is selected and adapted to preserve the subject’s identity without visually overloading the composition.
Clear contrast and a well-defined silhouette allow even a compact tattoo to remain realistic, readable and visually strong.
More Than a Small Photograph
A Microrealism tattoo does not need to appear inside a frame or exist as an isolated image.
A realistic animal, personal object, portrait, sculpture or symbolic detail can stand freely on the skin. Several small elements may also be connected through meaning, movement and negative space, forming a larger conceptual composition.
In this way, photographic realism becomes part of an individual visual story.
The Essence of the Image
Not every detail from a photograph should be transferred mechanically onto the skin.
The goal is to preserve the features that make an image recognisable and emotionally significant. Unnecessary information is reduced, while the essential expression, texture and form are developed with precision.
This balance creates a tattoo that feels realistic and complete while remaining clear at a smaller scale.
Designed for Your Body
Every reference is adapted to the chosen size, placement and anatomy.
Contrast, spacing and tonal depth are carefully planned so that the tattoo works naturally with the body. Whether the design consists of one independent object or several connected elements, the composition is created with visual balance and long-term clarity in mind.
Created Exclusively for You
Every project begins with an image, object, memory or idea that holds personal meaning.
